Ok, so here’s a little rant from yours truly. I remember about a little more than a year ago hearing Tik Tok for the first time. It was catchy, a party song, but I distinctly remember feeling relieved that this artist was clearly a one hit wonder artist. I was certain that in about a year, we would all be saying, Ke$ha who?
But then she came out with another single. And another. And another.
And they are all the same! God, I just can’t deal with listening to singtalking anymore. Or all of this computerized bullshit. I think that often, pop stars are very good singers, but just tend to have shitty musical tastes. But if they are using their talents, I’m ok with it.
I guess my point is that I’ve kind of noticed that the idea of “one hit wonders” are dead. Noticably crappy music is being pushed on us- we are forcing unworthy musicians into being stars. Which I am just not ok with.
